Abundance Bike Trailer carrying two wooden canoes
The latest bike trailer is a beautiful wooden trailer made with 6 members of the Abundance (Oxford UK) collective. The structure is mostly old pine floor-boards jointed together with glue and screws (and a few metal corner brackets too), which we rounded with rasps, sanded and coated with linseed oil. It has no solid floor – instead it has a strong black netting. We had to test it before taking it out on the roads and it easily took the weight of two adults.
